It seems there may have been special versions of GRiD-OS and Management Tools for PC, as evidenced by these two documents. Unfortunately, the binder these came in didn't include any disks. I'm not sure if any of the standard GRiD-OS releases will work on an original IBM PC either, so I don't know how useful they'll be. Nonetheless, they're still interesting from a historical perspective. Since I didn't have the Getting Started disk (or files) for the Compass or PC, I made the tutorial files based on the info in the books. They should be essentially the same. The only one not on here is the terminal file for the Dow Jones News/Retrieval Service. The book doesn't list everything in it and I couldn't find a copy on any of my old GRiDs. I found the GRiD Central sign-on file on a GRiD Compass, so I don't know if it has the same info, but I included it anyway. Since the Dow Jones News Service and GRiD Central have been offline for years, I don't think these matter much anyway. The disk here is for GRiD-OS. As such, you will need to format the floppy disk you want to use with the GRiD-OS disk formatting utility (Initialize Media) before writing to it in ImageDisk.
